It is always a proud and exciting moment when the next round of Sport Access Foundation Grants are launched.
Each year provides an opportunity to set new goals. Many of us aim to improve our quality of lives, by being more active. The goal of SAF is to ensure that young Australians living with a disability can be active and achieve their sporting goals.
Sport Access Foundation, now in its third year of operation, has introduced more grants to ensure we can reach as many young Aussies who need assistance to access sport in their communities. Furthermore, these grants will help enable the next generation of Aussie para-athletes to hone their skills and take on the world’s best.
A little quote from me about the grants this year:
“Access to the right facilities and equipment is a game-changer. This year we have over $22,000 in grants that will help to recognise the outstanding achievements of young athletes with a disability who represent their sport at the highest level.”
This achievement was made possible by two of Team KK's biggest supporters in Harvey Norman and PICA Group.
