After a short break following the 2019 World Championships, I was keen to start my last campaign as I aim to qualify for Tokyo 2020 Paralympics (August).

I recall after Rio, my Dad asked me why would I continue after the high of the Gold medal win. I asked that myself too.

There were a good number of reasons I should’ve stopped.

I read an article recently and it was titled ‘Learnables’.

The simplicity of the message in this piece stood out for me, ‘That with sufficient effort you will learn.’

So, I continue on towards Tokyo.

The off season is underway with Coach Dan Atkins and Guide Bri Silk including solid work on the KickR Wahoo trainer which is now set up at My Gold Coast Physio Sports and Health Centre at Burleigh Heads.

Bri and I will start training again on the tandem next month.
