Last Seen is an Exhibition and Performance to save sight - depicts the last, or most cherished, memory of 10 vision-impaired Australians.
Produced in partnership with Griffith University and supported by Arts Queensland, Last Seen offers a multi-sensory experience. Katie’s story is not only captured on canvas and in composition, but also through film by Nico Meißner.
I shared my last seen memory of Newcastle’s Merewether Baths with artist Tracie Eaton and composer Steve Newcomb for Last Seen. More of that to come when the official opening night is held on Thursday 30 March at Griffith University Art Museum. Tickets available here https://lnkd.in/gc3SMwAh
It was an honour to be part of Tracie's professional work, as a guest for her Oscar 2023 Collection Exhibition - 'Shine' All proceeds went to Destiny Rescue an incredible charity which serves to eradicate sex trafficking & exploitation of children.
Tracie said " I create with purpose, to create change, to share beauty and joy. It was thrilling for me to see this message understood and lived on Saturday. Of course, as ambassador for Destiny Rescue it was important to me that everyone in attendance understands what drives Destiny and what drives me. And it is through people investing in my artwork that I can continue to take action, to donate and to assist Destiny to eradicate sex trafficking and exploitation of children."

What I admire about Tracie is how passionate she is about the causes she supports including Destiny Rescue. Additionally, she has reached out to me several times to understand my challenges with vision and hearing loss, and to ensure that her events were inclusive, accessible and made for a great event that catered for the diverse guests in attendance.
